  Handball League: Home Side Edo Stars Lose Second Consecutive Match By Our Reporter Host Edo Stars suffered their second consecutive defeat on Day 2 of the National Division One Handball League holding in Benin City, Edo State. Edo Stars couldn't match the firepower of a rejuvenated Suleja Shooters as they were soundly defeated 23-13 in front of the their fans at the Indoor Sports Hall, Etete, Benin City, Edo State. They couldn't redeem themselves as they were subjected to another 28-19 defeat to Confluence Snappers Suleja had lost their first match to Tojemarine on Day 1 but were clearly the better side against the home side. Owena Kings struggled as they did in Day 1 but were able to get a slim 17-16 victory over Correctional Boys while Desert Warriors defeated Team Akwa Ibom 18-15. Mindscope continued in winning ways, howbeit they were made to sweat as they defeated Confluence Snappers 16-15 while Tojemarine earned their second win against Adorable Stars 17-14. Unity Boys of Abuja continued with their winning streak as they ensured they defeat Bayelsa United 21-17 while Benue Buffaloes earned a deserving 20-13 victory over the misfiring Rivers Bullets. Correctional Boys made up for their earlier slim defeat to Owena Kings as they earned a 22-16 victory over Akwa Ibom while Police Machine defeated Gateway 18-16. In the women category, Mindscope Academy earned a 10-0 win after they walked over Gallant Babes who didn't make themselves available for the match while Bayelsa Queens ruthlessly defeated Police Machine 20-17 . Abia Valliants defeated Confluence Queens 16-15 while Mindscope, who earlier got free winning points through walkover couldn't match the force of Delta Force as they lost 25-15.
