Hayatou appointed Special Adviser for CHAN 2020, AFCON 2021

Immediate past President of Confederation of African Football (CAF) Issa Hayatou has been handed a role from the 2020 Championship of African Nations and 2021 African Cup of Nations by Cameroon ministry of sports, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN Sports reports that the African soccer ruling body, CAF, handed Cameroon the hosting right of the two upcoming competitions after they were stripped off the hosting right of the 2019 African Cup of Nations.

Cameroon sports ministry on Wednesday pronounced Hayatou as Special Technical Adviser for the two competitions.

CHAN whose qualifier begins this weekend will take place in January 2020, while 2021 AFCON is slated for mid next year.
