HFN President Welcomes States to National Sports Festival By Admin The President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) Mr. Samuel Ocheho has welcomed the handball family to the National Sports Festival which will commence in Abuja from today, 6th to Sunday 16th of December 2018, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Mr. Ocheho who is excited that handball is one of the sports participating in the National Sports Festival, believes fans will be thrilled with the best of handball actions from the participating states. He urged the participating states to conduct themselves in the best behaviour as the competition is the last for the year to crown up a successful year for handball. In a statement made available by Cosmos Chukwuemeka Akisi Media Assistant to the President of Handball Federation of Nigeria, Mr. Ocheho assured all participating teams that officials are ready and prepared to ensure that games are officiated fairly. Also the secretary general of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, Alhaji Maigidansanma Mohammed has called on the handball stakeholders which includes Coaches, players and officials participating in the National Sports Festival to give a good account of themselves and be good ambassadors of the sport. He advised the participating teams to ensure the spirit of sportsmanship complimented with aesthetics and funfare devoid of rancour and violence. The participating states for the handball event for men are Niger, FCT, Bornu, Kaduna, Enugu, Delta and Lagos while for women, they are Plateau, Bornu, FCT, Kaduna, Oyo, Imo and Rivers State.
