Hibernian confirms Ambrose departure

BSN Sports can reveal that former Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Efe Ambrose has departed Scottish Premier League side Hibernian after 2 years with club.

The club confirmed his departure on Friday through its social media, while also stated the club tried to persuade him to stay with the club.

"Hibernian FC can confirm the departure of Efe Ambrose after his move to invoke a contractual clause that allows him to leave this month.

The club made every effort to keep Efe but respect his decision and wish him well," it stated.

Former Celtic defender who is eyeing a move to English premier League turned down three contract extension to stay with Hibernian.
