By Sampson Adedeji
After being unattached for some time, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Elderson Echejile has officially announced his move to Finnish league.
Former Insurance of Benin defender has been undergoing a trial with HJK Helsinki after he terminated his deal with Belgian second-tier side Cercle Brugge.
The club agreed on a deal with him last week but the left-footed defender officially announced the deal via his social media handle.
"I’m happy to inform my fans of my decision to take up a new football challenge in Finland. I’m officially a player of HJK Helsinki #Grateful " he wrote.
Before moving to Finland, Echejile has played in Portuguese side Braga, Sivaspor, AS Monaco, to mention but a few.
He was part of Nigeria Super Eagles team to the last FIFA World Cup in Russia.
