HJK Helsinki sign Nigeria international Echiejile

    Nigeria international defender Elderson Echiejile has joined big-spending Finnish club side HJK Helsinki, BSNSports reports. The left-back has penned a one-year deal with HJK, with the option of an additional year inserted into the agreement. "I am very happy and proud - HJK Helsinki is one of the best clubs in Europe," Echiejile informed BSNSports via Skype. "I've got to know some of the history of the club, I have heard great things about the club and I am very happy to be part of the project. It's a great thing happening to me. "Being in a team with really good players is good, you get to improve individually. I just want to be here, achieve a lot and win trophies." ''Elderson is an experienced player. He is also good enough in the aerial game, so we get added value to our special situations, '' said HJK manager Mika Lehkosuo. Echiejile could be in line to make his debut against FC Inter in their opening season match by April.
