I am in Super Eagles to stay - Maja

Nigeria's Super Eagles new invitee in the clash with Ukraine in an international friendly, striker Josh Maja has declared his intention to be one the team regulars, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

BSN reports that the Girondin Bordeaux striker was invited to take the position of AS Monaco attacker Henry Onyekuru who opted out due to work permit,

Maja stated how he was happy when he received the invitation to the team and is ready to grab the opportunity.

“I’m delighted to get my first callup for Nigeria. It’s a big opportunity to show the fans and the coaches what i can do.

"I am going to work my hardest to make all those who have made this dream a reality very proud,” Maja stated in a short video posted on the Super Eagles Twitter handle.

“I play as a central forward and I like to create chances and score goals and generally work hard for the team.

"So I’m looking forward to getting my chances in the team so I can show what I can do and also stay here for a long time.”

Former Charlton Athletic forward is one of the four newly invited players for an international friendly match against Ukraine on Tuesday at Dnipro Arena.
