Understand the political mix and work well with the Governor and Senator" he further revealed . Pastor Emeka Inyama a veteran journalist, politician and sports administrator of high repute. Born on August 26th 1960 in Lagos to the family of Chief Henry Inyama, a retired Civil   Servant from Umunwanwa village, Umuopara in Umuahia South LGA of Abia State, High Chief Emeka Inyama pulled off the following “Firsts” in his career as a public servant: • First Sports administrator of Abia State origin to be elected Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF). • First and only administrator of Abia State origin to be elected Vice Chairman of  Nigeria Shooting Federation (NSF). • First and only Sports administrator of Abia State origin to become member, CAF Media Committee. • First sports administrator of Abia State origin to be appointed Chairman Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Marketing Committee. • First and only Sports administrator of Abia State origin to become Chairman, NFF Media Committee. • First and only administrator of Abia State origin to be elected Chairman, Nigeria National League (NNL). • Infact, he holds the singular honour of being the highest ranking Sports Administrator of Abia State origin dead or alive. Pastor Emeka Inyama attended Umunwanwa primary School in the early 70’s where he passed his First School Leaving Certificate examination with flying colours. After his Primary School Education he proceeded to the then prestigious Umuopara Secondary School, Umuahia where he obtained his WASC in flying colours. Chief Inyama holds several degrees in Journalism and Business management, little wonder he excelled in Sports Journalism, marketing and administration. He started his journalism career with the Punch Newspapers, then The Guardian from where he rose to become the Sports Editor of the defunct Community Concord Newspapers in Owerri before moving to edit the sports pages of the popular Nigerian Statesman. Chief Inyama then moved over to Lagos to join the Champion Newspapers Group as a pioneer Editorial staff. When he called time on his career at Champion Newspapers, he became the pioneer Managing Director/ Editor-in-Chief of the first all Sports Newspaper in Nigeria, The Sportslink in 1991. Chief Inyama left the Sportslink to try his hands on the challenging terrain of Sports Marketing where he became an authority and a huge success in a short space of time. National duty called in 2003 and Chief Inyama was appointed General Manager, All Africa Games (COJA) which was hosted by Nigeria in Abuja. Before then he had served in several committees of the then NFA and was Vice Chairman of the transport sub-committee of the FIFA World Youth Championship which held in Nigeria in 1999. Between 2005–2007, Chief Inyama was appointed Commissioner for Sports in Abia State and that was after a successful tenure earlier as the State Football Association Chairman. Again in 2009, National duty called as he was yet appointed General Manager, LOC, FIFA Under-17 World Cup Abuja 2009. High Chief Emeka Inyama was later appointed Chairman, Abia Warriors Football Club, Umuahia, a position which he holds till date. He later contested election and won to become the pioneer Chairman of the Nigeria National League. Other highly responsible public positions which he held include.  Member, CAF Media Committee  Member NFF Executive Committee  Chairman, NFF, Media Committee  Chairman, Nigeria National League (NNL) An astute and accomplished administrator, High Chief Emeka Inyama, holds many traditional titles amongst which are Uduakomiri of Umuaopara and Ohamadikeukwu Gburugburu. Well known and respected through the length and breadth of the nation, High Chief Emeka Inyama is very intelligent experienced and widely travelled.
