I would taken Saraki to Court but...Coach Salihu Yusuf ...Demands N4,560,000 From ABS By Niyi Busari After several efforts to press for the release of money he is being owed by Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC, former ABS coach, Salihu Yussuf has accused the club of owing him Four million five hundred and sixty thousand (N4,560,000) and was forced to report them to the Arbitration Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to facilitate payment of his money BSN reports. The club popularly known Saraki boys is owned by the senate President, Bukola Saraki. According to statement made available to www.bsnsports.com.ng, he said, he has made efforts to facilitate payment of his money which include writing a letter to senate president Abubakar Bukola Saraki. Salihu said he decided not to take former Kwara state governor to court because he is his leader and that he has paid the said money to the club management but they used the money seek promotion at all cost few years ago. Ex-ABS coach stated that he decided to to inform the senate president about his predicament through a letter dated 13th February 2017 and a reminder on 27th March same year, but did not receieve a response from the senate president. In another attempt to press further the release of the money, he wrote another letter to the League Management Company, LMC, urging them to help in facilitating the payment of his money on March 28th, 2017 which was not also attended to, thus forcing him to take the matter to the Arbitration Committee on April 11th 2018. In a release made available to www.bsnsports.com.ng, “I am owed N4,560,000,” Salihu said . “I have decided to ignore the Court of Arbitration for Sports for now because of my strong belief that the Arbitration Committee would do justice to my plight and remedy my situation.” Speaking further, the coach alleged that some of the officials of the club had turned it into a “one-man show ”, using it to enrich themselves while the coaches and players suffer . Salihu said, “Since Mallam Abdul Adama , the founder of Bukola Babes , which transformed to ABS, left the club during the 2012 / 13 season, the club have been facing lots of financial challenges. “Adama never owed any player, coach, backroom officials a dime before he left the club. He paid all the entitlements. “But some of the people Saraki entrusted with the club after Adama left betrayed him. Some of them are just using the platform of the club to enrich themselves .” "Bukola Saraki is our leader in Ilorin where i come from, he is not the problem of the club, he is putting in everything to make sure the club succeed but the management are frustrating his efforts. However , ABS Director of Football, Mr Alloy Chukwuemeka said the aggrieved coach should come the club's headquarter with documemts to claim his entitlements. "He (Salihu Yusuf) should come to tje club's headquarter with the documents to proof that his being owed to claim the money. We shall look into it when he comes." Alloy tells our correspondent in a chat.
