ICPC: Ex-NFF Boss Kojo Williams Asks Pinnick, Others To Resign
By Admin
Former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Kojo Williams has demanded that the embattled Amaju Pinnick-led executive board quit for Nigeria football to move on.
Massive corruption probes of the NFF are now on-going by all three anti-graft agencies – ICPC, EFCC and SPIP.
“In any serious nation, all of them should by now have taken a back seat so that the game can move on,” Williams told Hot FM Abuja.
“They all should go. Simple and straight forward.”
ICPC has sealed 15 properties belonging to Pinnick and other senior NFF officials namely Shehu Dikko, Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ and Mohammed Sanusi.
Williams said he believes the anti-corruption agency must have got enough facts to do that.
“Let ICPC carry out its investigations. They won’t seal the properties if they don’t have their facts,” he said.
“They are highly professional even if Nigerians underrate them. They know exactly what they are doing.” he added.
The NFF congress has yet to react to the corruption probes and Kojo Williams said he is not surprised because it is hugely compromised.
“The congress is compromised,” he alleged.
“They are all criminals, thieves. They don’t know their worth, they don’t have any credibility.
“It is a congress that is paid $10,000 to vote.
“That is why our football cannot move forward.”
