ICPC To Arraign NFF President, Pinnick, Dikko, Sanusi in Abuja Today

Akin Akinbobola, Lagos

Following the investigation of the top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) over alleged corruption and financial misappropriation of public funds, BSN Sports understands that NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, Vice-president, Shehu Dikko will be arraigned in tribunal court in Abuja today.

This is coming at the heels of the anti-graft agency's action last Friday where properties belonging to Amaju Pinnick and Shehu Dikko were sealed and placed under investigation.

It was reported that the NFF bigwigs were seen around the Aso Rock trying so hard to get 'order from above' to stop the anti-graft agency from further investigation and save them from appearing before any court.

However, their efforts in making that happen could not see the light of the day as President Muhammed Buhari has ordered all anti-graft agencies to bring any culpable corrupt Nigerians to book. President Buhari has on several occasions said that its government will kill corruption before the cankerworm kill Nigeria.

Recall that the NFF bigwigs have been served bench warrant by the Federal High Court in Abuja to appear before it on or before 26th September, 2019 over alleged mismanagement of funds meant for the grassroots development of football.
