Ighalo Reveals Why He Leaves Al Shabab FC

Nigeria's Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has opened up on why he left Saudi Arabia side Al Shabab FC, BSNsports.com.ng can report.
The former Watford FC attacker left Al Shabab for another Saudi club Al Hilal on Monday in a move that surprised many of his followers.
Ighalo joined Al Shabab after the expiration of his deal with Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
He explained what went wrong while speaking to Brila FM radio on Tuesday.
“I was not really happy because I was not released for the AFCON by Al Shabab.
“Though it’s my job as a player but I was no longer happy because I was not released for the AFCON’
“Of course, I wanted to come for the AFCON but they stopped me from leaving just about four hours before my departure because I needed both the exit and entry visa only to be told they did not get any invitation for my release from the NFF," he said.
Ighalo is currently the top scorer in the Saudi league with 12 goals.
