Iheanacho’s Major Weakness Reveled By Tottenham Hotspur Legend

Iheanacho’s
The lid has been thrown off the major weakness of Leicester City of England attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho, as former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder and coach, Tim Sherwood believes the Super Eagles’ lad lacks enough firepower upfront, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Speaking in the wake of Iheanacho’s inability to make hay in the starting line-up of The Foxes against Aston Villa last weekend, as he stood in for injured haymaker, Jamie Vardy, Sherwood opined that the Nigerian youngster does not have what it takes to fill in the missing links for his team. Sherwood went on to posit categorically that Leicester will miss the qualities Vardy adds to their squad and stressed that it was so obvious in how they struggled this past Sunday against visiting Villa during their English Premier League game at King Power Stadium. Iheanacho, who made his first EPL start for The Foxes since a 2-0 loss to Manchester United on the final day of last season, eventually played 71 minutes before he was replaced by Algeria’s Islam Slimani, but neither of the two Africans could save their side from losing 1-0 at home, with Nigerian-born midfielder, Ross Barkley netting a last minute winner for The Villans. That left Sherwood vindicated that Leicester would miss their former England striker, who was replaced in the starting lineup by Iheanacho due to an injury he suffered in training last week, but the Spurs legend argued that the UAE 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup gold medalist and most valuable player lacks the top qualities and make incisive runs behind defenders that Vardy has. Sherwood stated: “Iheanacho is a different type, he’s not going to run in behind. Aston Villa will keep a high line because of the fact Vardy is not there. It’s a real shame, unfortunately for Jamie he’s stopped playing international football so he keeps himself fit and then he gets injured in training. He’s got a calf injury, they are going to miss him.”
