Ike Ugbo Misses Sumptuous Transfer Offer From Rostov Of Russia

Cercle Brugge of Belgium striker, Ike Ugfbo has missed out a very sumptuous offer worth three million pounds from FC Rostov of Russia, simply because his parent club, Chelsea of England do not fancy the deal, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Though Ugbo appeared inclined Towards making the move to Russia, after starring on loan at ADO Den Haag and Roda JC Kerkrade of Holland, before moving to his current base in the Belgian Jupiler League, top shots at Stamford Bridge were not inclined to let him go. Consequently, a report by popular British tabloid, The Sun reveals that Chelsea have rejected an offer worth three million pounds Ugbo, as The Blues view future potentials of the former England U17 international, who has exhibited brilliant performances this season in the Belgian top-flight with Cercle Brugge. With ten goals from 15 appearances so far, only four players, including Racing Genk’s Paul Ebere Onuachu, have scored more than Ugbo, who had previously also been loaned to Barnsley, Milton Keynes Dons and Scunthorpe United of England. Before his latest loan deal, the 22-year-old Ugbo signed a contract extension at Stamford Bridge until June 2022, thereby giving The Blues bragging rights on his next move, though having also allowed an option to buy in the agreement that took him to Cercle Brugge in August. Ugbo has scored ten goals in 15 games for Cercle, thereby igniting keen interest for an extension of his stay, as well as attention from Russia ahead of the January transfer window, but Chelsea have rejected the approach – despite Rostov being prepared to put €3m on the table. His hope of getting better trappings in his career with the possibility of a January deal taking him to Russia have, however, now been dashed by Chelsea’s thoughts of keeping him on their cards for the future.
