NPFL MD 9 Wrap: Ilechukwu Hunts MFM In Lagos As Kwara United Win In Akure To Keep Pressure On Enyimba

Fidelis Ilechukwu's Heartland defeats MFM FC at the Soccer Temple, Agege for a sweet revenge of their home loss to the Olukoya Boys, BSNsports.com.ng reports.
It was a sweet one for the 'Working One' who less than a week ago complained of unpaid wages in the camp of the Naze Millionaires.
Adachi Emmanuel in the 7th minute opened the scoring from the spot for Heartland before Muyiwa Balogun levelled things for the Olukoya Boys five minutes after restart of the second half and five minutes later, Jimoh Gbadamosi ensured that the 'Working One' and his boys returned home with the three points.
MFM FC have now gone six games without a win in the league, their longest ever winless streak.
At the Akure Township Stadium, Kwara United secured an important away win to keep pressure on leaders, Enyimba.
- Sadiq Yusuf fired the Akure Gunners ahead six minutes after the restart but the lead only lasted for four minutes before Isa Gata levelled the scores for the visitors. Stephen Jude in 84 minutes then secured the three points for the Harmony Boys six minutes from time.
Abia Warriors mid-week party was cut-short as the fell 2-1 to Dakkada FC at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Aniekan Ekpe (48) of Dakkada scored the opener before Kokoette Udo (54) made it 2-0 for the home sides. Abia Warriors were then reduced to 10 men when Ibukun Harrison (85) was given the marching order and on the stoppage time, Fatai Abdullahi (90) pulled one back for Abia Warriors.
Ndifreke Effiong scored a brace as Akwa United defeat Kastina United 3-0.
Akwa United who had to wait for Dakkada FC to finish their match against Abia Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium before their kick game, found the back of the net through Ndifreke Effiong in the 29th minute. Charles Atshimene then scored on the hour mark to mark it 2-0, with Ndifreke Effiong completing his brace from the penalty spot 11 minutes from time to make it 3-0.
Jigawa Golden Stars further compounds Adamawa United's woes pipping them by a lone goal. Abdullahi Musa Lali scored the lone goal in the 55th minute.
Christian Nnaji's 17th minute goal was enough for Rangers to secure another win at the Cathedral. The 2016 NPFL champions are now four points behind oriental rival, Enyimba.
It ended goalless in Markurdi between Lobi Stars and Wikki Tourist.

Ifeanyi Ubah will host Kano Pillars in Nnewi tomorrow by 4pm and Rivers United will also host Nasarawa United in Port Harcourt simultaneously.
