Ilorin Agog As National Youth Games Commences Wednesday By Niyi Busari Everything that will make the opening hosting of the 2021 National Youth Games a successful one has been put in place by the Main Organizing Committee and the Local Organizing Committee. The University of Ilorin, the venue of the sixth edition of National Youth Games is in competition mood and set for the Games. Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare alongside the Permanent Secretary will declare the the Games open on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Youths will compete for honours in 37 Sports in the ten-day competition . The King of Sports, Football, is not left out as Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Gymnastics, Hockey, Judo, Swimming, all these sports rightly mentioned and host of others will be interesting to watch out for. There will be moments of intrigues, excitement, artistry and as well a moment where new talents will be discovered. Nigeria wrestler, Odunayo Adekuroye was discovered in the first edition of National Youth Games. It could be recalled that Odunayo Adekoroye is now an Olympian, having represented the country in a wrestling event, in the last concluded Olympics. We await how this 6th edition will produce more talents for different Sporting Federations.
