I'm Ready To Provide Solution To Super Eagles Right Back Problem - Latifu

By Sampson Adedeji

Former Nigeria's Flying Eagles players Akeem Latifu has declared himself available to provide needed solution to the Nigeria's Super Eagles right-back problem.

The right full back remained a major concern for Nigeria Football lover and despite the introduction of new talents in the position, it remains unstable, BSN Reports.

Latifu who is plying his trade with Mjondalen IF of Norway hailed the performance of players who has tried the position during a radio chat with Brila but believe is not their natural position.

“If I am given the opportunity to play now, people will see the difference between a natural right-back and the guys that were converted to play that position.

Only a few players in the team can actually play the right-back role, most of the guys there are converted, it’s never their primary position, players like Chidozie Awaziem, Ola Aina and Abdullahi Shehu.

“But when you are talking of a natural right-back, there are differences, the guys I mentioned above are all good players don’t get me wrong, My point is they aren’t natural right-backs," he told Brila.

Latifu was part of Nigeria U20 team to FIFA World Cup in Canada 2007.
