Imama
By Admin BSNSports.com.ng scooped that former Enugu Rangers coach, Imama Amapakabo has announced his exit from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side El-Kanemi Warriors following the expiration of his one-year contract deal with the Northeast team. The Super Eagles assistant coach revealed to www.bsnsports.com.ng that he has happily handed down the managerial role of the Borno Army and he is now a free agent. “I signed a one-year contract when I joined the club before the start of the season and right now the season is over,” Amapakabo said. “I took over the club from someone and equally, as I’m leaving, someone else will step in,” Imama said. “That’s order of the business of coaching. I won the league for Rangers and got sacked, so I came here (El-Kanemi). “As I leave, someone will equally come to take over from me. I’ve no problems with that.” Amapakabo tutored Rangers to win the NPFL title in 2016 but faced the axe the following season after falling out of favour of the club’s hierarchy. He subsequently joined El-Kanemi in 2017. He is notably an integral part of the Super Eagles coaching crew.
