Forward Peter Etebo appears to be out of Saturday's trip to QPR, BSNSports reports. The Nigerian international has been under treatment for a groin injury all week and was always a doubt. Etebo has been told to rest for a week and will not be travelling to Loftus Road this weekend. "Medical checks reveal that versatile midfielder suffered grade one muscle injury last Saturday, Potters medical team recommended that he should rest the injury for one week. It remains to be seen if Etebo is deemed fit enough to return for Stoke when they travel to Derby next Wednesday and then entertain Reading three days later ahead of the international break. His absence from the QPR game will be a blow to a Stoke side benefiting from arguably Etebo's best run of form since joining the club last summer. He had sounded optimistic about his chances of a swift return to action when stating after the Forest game: “It was my groin, but I think I’m going to be fine. “If I’d continued I think I would have strained it more, so I just had to stop, but because I did that I think I’m going to be fine.”
