Insurance FC Round off Southwest preseason tour with Sunshine Stalemate

Bendel Insurance FC of Benin on Thursday rounded off their preseason tour of the Southwest with a goalless draw against rivals, Sunshine Stars of Akure.


The Benard Ogbe tutored Benin arsenal began the Southwest pre-season tour with a 1-1 draw against MFM of Lagos on Monday and recorded double victory on Tuesday after beating Smart City and Stationery Stores 2-0 and 2-1 respectively same day.


Insurance have participated in two preseason tournaments, Governor Okowa and Abiodun tourneys in Asaba and Ijebu Ode in addition to the series of friendlies in their management quest to fortify and fully prepare the team for the 2019/2020 football season.


Speaking on the prospect of the Benin arsenal returning to the top flight league immediately, the Technical Manager Benard Ogbe expressed optimism that with luck on his side that he expects his new team to return to NPFL immediately.


Ogbe stated that Bendel Insurance is a Premier league club and that the recent wrong perception about them would soon Change for good.
He assured the management and fans that his technical crew will continue to rebuild the team until it attained the night and status of intimidation to opponents


"We are doing what we know how to do to ensure that Insurance becomes what Edo Government want it to be. That is to be among the very best that can compete at continental level. We are working hard towards achieving that target but not a one day job. And I don't like talking. Instead I concentrate on achieving results. God helping us,we shall get there." He enthused.


Insurance still have few friendlies to take next week with a return leg at Warri Wolves next in line.
