By Sampson Adedeji
Ahead of the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League, CAF inter-club committee has concluded an arrangement to visit stadia earmarked for the matches, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Eight teams: defending champion Al Ahly (Egypt), Simba SC (Tanzania), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Kaizerchiefs (South Africa), Mamelodi Sundown (South Africa), MC Algiers (Algeria) and Belouzidad (Algeria) had already secured their passage into the knockout round.
In a bid to make the games television friendly, the committee will take into consideration, the pitch, dressing rooms etc to be used by the teams.
Meanwhile, the committee has also proposed the use of the Video Assistant Referees (VAR), from the quarter final stages of the competition.
VAR was used in the final of the past two editions but if finally agreed upon, it may be involved right from the quarter finals.
