International Friendly: Brazil Is Beatable - Patrick Pascal
By Niyi Busari
Super Eagles coordinator, Patrick Pascal has said that the five-time world champions, Brazil are beatable in today's international friendly game against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The former Nigeria international made this known this morning in Singapore during a phone conversation with www.bsnsports.com.ng correspodent, Pascal expressed confident in the young Nigerian side.
Pascal however, admitted that it is just a friendly match which is not all about winning but said that the primary objective is to assess and also give opportunity to newly invited players.
Meanwhile, the Bauchi state Football Association chairman said the friendly match means a lot to Eagles as it will be used by FIFA to rate the Nigerian national team at the end of the month.
"This is a friendly match with one of the best in the world and we are 3rd in Africa. So, it is not going to be an easy game. We have young boys who are ready to showcase their talents and also show Nigerians that they are as good as any other players in the world," he told BSN Sports.
"For a friendly match which will be used for FIFA Ranking at the end of the month, and the fact that Nigeria have an African Nations Cup qualifier soon, so, you can see that today's match is more than a friendly match.
"However, friendly match is not all about winning but to correct mistakes, test new players and put the team in good shape ahead their African Nations Cup qualifier.
"No country is unbeatable, and with the kind of young but experience players in camp, Nigeria can beat any team in the world. Let me also tell you that Brazil can not underrate Super Eagles in today's friendly match because they are also scared of our talented players." He concluded.
Three-time African champions Nigeria's Super Eagles will face Selecao of Brazil in an international friendly match at the Singapore National Stadium today (Sunday) at 1:00 pm (Nigerian time).
