He was replaced by Ikouwen Udoh after sustaining an injury in the second half. IBRAHIM ALHASSAN 4/10 The former Akwa United player was not in his best elements in the game. Struggled to impress and was hauled off before the break. KELECHI NWAKALI 8/10 Scored Nigeria’s first goal of the game, a stunning strike from the outside the box. The young midfielder was a handful for the opponents. CHIDIEBERE NWAKALI 7/10 Took time to settle into the game and improved with the introduction of Usman Mohammed after the break. Showed he can play a role in the main Eagles in future. EMEM EDUOK. 5/10 Played to the gallery at times even though he showed some promise. He was at fault for the first goal scored by Atletico Madrid as he lost the ball rather cheaply in midfield. DAYO OJO 5/10 Struggled in an unfamiliar left-wing role and was duly substituted early in the second half. SAMAD KADIRI 5/10 Found the going too tough on his international debut. The Sunshine Stars forward did not really impress in the game. TOSIN OMOYELE 5/10 The Plateau United forward added bite to the team’s attack following his introduction. Provided the assist for Usman Mohammed’s second goal. IKOUWEN UDOH 5/10 Proved his class after coming in for the injured Ebube Duru. Defended well and supported the attack at will. ALHASSAN IBRAHIM 3/10 Didn’t make much impact following his introduction.
