International Friendly Matches: Alampasu Returns as Rohr Invites 25 Players

Ahead of the double-header international friendly matches in October, Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, has invited 25 players to camp, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Notable new faces in the team who look forward to making their debuts include, Golden Eaglets captain to the 2019 Brazil U-17 World Cup, Tijani Samson (TSV Hartberg), Bright Ejuke (CSKA Moscow), Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto) and Mattew Yakubu.

However, Twente defender, Tyronne Ebuehi and Omonia Nicosia player Shehu Abdullahi alongside Josh Maja, Henry Onyekuru and Ramon Azeez were placed on standby.

Despite earlier promise by Rohr, LASk Linz of Austria goalkeeper Tobias Lawal was conspicuously missing.

Meanwhile, former U-17 goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu staged a comeback to the team since he was dropped during Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers,
