International friendly: Senegal hold Brazil

2019 African Cup of Nations runners up Teranga Lions of Senegal have proved that former World champions Brazil are vulnerable by forcing them to a 1-1 draw in the first of the two friendly matches to be played in Singapore.

Selecao of Brazil were scheduled to play Teranga Lions of Senegal and Nigeria's Super Eagles in an international friendly matches scheduled for Kallang, in Singapore National Stadium, BSN reports

The match against Senegal started with Brazil dominating the proceedings as usual and their dominance paid off early in the game as Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino opened the scoring in the 8th minute.

Famara Duedhiou brought the African level late in the first half and ensured the first half ended all square despite the South American domination.

The second stanza resumed with Brazil still in firm control of the with PSG forward Neymar, Everton winger Richarlison trying to breakdown the Senegal's defence led by Napoli defender Khalidou Coulibaly.

The game ended in a score draw, which surprised many football fans at the stadium.

Meanwhile, Nigeria's Super Eagles players and officials were also in the stadium to watch the match, as they prepare to face the Brazilians in the second friendly match slated for same time on Sunday at the same venue.
