Ekong praises team efforts, hope for better next season

Nigeria international William Troost-Ekong has attributed his team relegation survival to the team spirit, efforts and hope Udinese put up a brilliant performance next season, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
After helping his Italian Serie A side Udinese to survive the drop, Nigeria's Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has heaped praises on his teammates and believed next season will be better for the team.
Ekong joined Udinese last summer from the Turkey side Bursaspor and he became a super regular for the team.
The team that has been struggling all season laboured to a 2-1 win over Cagliari on the final day of the season.
“Great victory and great battle to finish the season well. Thank you for your support! On this we will build next year. #FORZAUDINESE,” Troost-Ekong tweeted.
The Nigeria centre back made 35 appearances for the club in the just concluded season and was also cautioned 4 times.
The club finished in 12th position garnering 43 points in 38 matches.
