ITTF African Championship: Team Nigeria Finish With 7 Medals Sampson Adedeji The 2021 edition of the African Table tennis championship has ended in Yaounde, Cameroon with Team Nigeria finishing in a respectable position, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The Nigeria ping pong stars led by Aruna Quadri, Bode Abiodun, Olajide Omotayo, Funke Oshunnaike, Edem Offiong among others represented the country in the keenly contested competition. They started on not too impressive fashion losing in the mixed doubles, doubles to Egypt and Algeria women singles but Germany's based Quadri bounced back strongly and qualified for the men's singles final before he ended up losing to Omar Assar of Egypt. At the end of the entire tournament Team Nigeria finished with 1 gold, 4 Silver, and 2 Bronze while Egypt maintained its position as the Africa number one.
