ITTF Championship: Team Nigeria Crash Out Of Mixed Doubles Sampson Adedeji The poor outing of Team Nigeria in Table Tennis continues in Yaounde Cameroon as the hope of redeeming their battered image in the competition finally dashed, BSNsports.com.ng can report. The past few days have been difficult for the Nigeria continents to the Africa championship as they've suffered back-to-back defeats in both men and women games. Team Egypt who is solely responsible for the defeat of the Nigeria side again on Sunday continues its dominance as they alongside Algeria ended the hope of Nigeria in the mixed doubles. Team 1 duo of Mati Taiwo and Akpan Cecilia fell 4-0 (11-0,11-5,11-7,14-12) to Egypt. Team 2 duo of Omotayo and Oshonaike fell 4-2 (8-11,5-11,7-11,11-6,2-1) to Egypt. Team 3 duo of Abiodun and Edem Offiong lost 4-2 (14-12,7-11,11-7,10-12,7-11,12-14) to Algeria. The results mean Nigeria has been knocked out of the doubles in the quarter final and no hope of a podium finish in this year competition.
