ITTF Youth Championship: Nigeria's Taiwo Mati And Partner Zooms Into Doubles Semifinal By Omolagba Oluwayemi Nigeria's Taiwo Mati and partner Carlos Fernandez came back from 0-2 down to defeat Norway’s Borgar Haug and Italy’s John Oyebode 3-2 (5-11, 9-11, 16-14, 11-7, 11-9) to advance to the semi finals of the boys' doubles at the 2021 ITTF World Youth Championships in Vila Nova de Gaia Portugal . Other Africa's future stars battling for medals in Portugal are Hana Goda of Egypt who gets into action in the Girls' U15 alongside Nigeria's Sukurat Aiyebelegan, and Fathy Hend in the Girls' U19. Egypt's Wael Yasin, Nigeria's Mati Taiwo and Okanlawon Usman will also be action in boys' categories.
