Ivorian FA Election: Why I Voted Against Drogba - Didier Zokora

Why many people are still pondering on Coted'ivoire ex-players voted against former national team striker and captain Didier Drogba during the first round of country's Football Association election, one of the voters Didier Zokora has revealed the reason it happened that way.

Former Chelsea striker lost scandalously in the election that was held over the weekend which came as a big surprise to football followers all over the world, BSN Reports.

Zokora explained that Drogba do not show enough respect for the association and that is one of the reason he was voted against.

“ What we (former footballers) blame Didier Drogba for is that as honorary president of the Union of Alumni of Côte d'Ivoire, he has never been present at a single meeting.

"Didier Drogba did not even inform us of his candidacy for the presidency of the FIF.

"It's a big lack of respect, ”said Zokora

Zokora also criticized the project of candidate Drogba: " His program is not convincing because it does not take advantage of Ivorian football.

Mr Sory (Diabaté) offered us a very interesting project that's why we are with him. In addition, he is not even surrounded by people who master Ivorian football.

Mr Sory masters the subject better than Didier Drogba", he said.

Both Drogba and Zokora played for the Elephant of Coted'ivoire at the international level.
