Percy Tau who has been a thorn in the flesh of Super Eagles defence did a Kanu style past Omeruo and Troost Ekong, released a cool pass that beat Ezenwa for Mothiba's tap in that brought the game to one-one apiece in.the 30th minute.
Iwobi who has always been struggled with a 3-5-2 formation even before the world cup, today against South Africa he couldn't find his feet.
Iheanacho is another flop in the first half as he has not done anything to help his team. He missed a clear cut goal due to bad ball control.
Jamilu Collins failed to come to the party as the left back position became an expressway.
Samuel Kalu, Ahmed Musa are the two most impressive players for the Eagles in this first half.
Nigeria has conceded 5 goals in this competition, three against South Africa, two against Libya while South Africa have just conceded just one goal.
With this result, if it ends this way, Nigeria remain on top with 10 points, South Africa second with 9 points, Libya with 7 points and Seychelles with no points.
