Iwobi's market value drops; Iheanacho, Semi Ajayi, Ola Aina unchanged

Iwobi's
Everton forward Alex Iwobi’s market value has dropped by 13.7 % in the latest Transfermarkt update released on Wednesday with the Nigeria international now valued at €22m,€-3.5m lower than what he was worth in April and December 2020, BSNSports.com.ng reports. The Super Eagle’s erratic performance for the Toffees may have been responsible for the drop after his switch from Arsenal in the summer of 2019 coincided with his rise in value to €32m in September and December of 2019.Since then, the Nigerian’s value has been dropping first to €25.5m in the whole of 2020 to the latest crash. Also following in Iwobi’s downward spiral in value is new Fulham forward, Joshua Erowoli Orisunmibare Oluwaseun Maja (Josh Maja) whose value dropped by just €500,000 for the third consecutive time to €6m despite his return to form at Fulham following his loan move last January from Ligue 1 side, Girondins Bordeaux. While Iwobi and Maja’s transfer value dropped, that of other Nigerian players playing in the Premier League either rose or remained unchanged. Fulham duo of Ademola Lookman and Tosin Adarabioyo, both still open to switching international allegiance to Nigeria have their value rise significantly. Lookman’s value has increased from €10m last September to €13m this month and this may not be unconnected with his improvement in form since he switches Germany back to England on loan last summer. Since then, he has scored four goals and provided three assists for Cottagers who are battling to avoid relegation back to the Skybet Championship.
