Lobi Stars right back, John Lazarus was a delight to watch as his team came from behind to see off former CAF Champions League Champions, Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday in their first CAF Champions League group match, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 2017/18 NPFL winner played good attacking football from the blast of the whistle which paid off later in the match, though they went 1-0 down as the visitor shocked the home team in the first half.

Chidiebube Duru and John Lazarus helped the team with their versatility by supplying crosses from the flanks and also started attack from the defence.

Lazarus was very instrumental to Lobi home win and justified why the team coach, Solomon Ogbeide started him in the crucial and tension soaked tie.

Former Nigeria U20 player, Lazarus was later substituted in the 81st minute for Solomon Kwambe after his immense contribution to Lobi Stars' win.
