John Obi Mikel Quits Chinese Tianjin Teda, Reveals Possible Destination

Super Eagles’ skipper, Mikel John Obi has confirmed has agreed to end his two year
romance with Tianjin Teda after mutually agreeing to end his contract with the club.
The former Chelsea star joined Tianjin Teda in January 2017 on a three-year contract as a free agent and so his contract has been terminated with a year to spare.
This last season, the former Lyn Oslo of Norway midfielder appearances were limited due to injuries as his Chinese Super League side only escaped on the last day of the season.
Reports states that former Chelsea born star say he would prefer a return to Europe to be close to his family, but he has also been linked with clubs in Qatar.
''Anyway, I would like to wish the TEDA team good luck next season, as I miss the team, but still a huge fan for the Chinese side.'' Mikel stated.
Mikel has featured in 31 Super League matches, scoring 3 goals (3 assists).for Tianjin Teda.
