Ogu denies Trabzonspor link

After cementing his place in the Nigeria's Super Eagles team going to 2019 African Cup of Nations, midfielder John Ogu has denied having any link with Turkey Super Lig side Teabzonspor.l, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Ogu left Israeli premier league side Hapoel Be'er Sheva at the end of last season after spending 5 years with the club.

The left footed player is still nursing the ambition of playing in the English premier league despite his age.

“Anything you heared about me trying to join Trabzonspor was not from me and it was also not from my agent as I have not spoken at all to the Turkish club, and I have no connection whatsoever with them,” he stated.

AFCON 2019 will be the second major tournament Ogu will representing Nigeria having been part of the Russia 2018 team.

He was introduced in the late minute of Nigeria versus Zimbabwe pre AFCON friendly for skipper John Mikel Obi.
