Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has parted ways with Saudi Arabia Premier League Club Aladahlah FC, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The lanky midfielder joined the Arabia club in January 2020 after mutual termination of his contract with Isreali club Hapoel Be'er Sheva.

According to Ogu, he signed a 6 month contract with the club in January but outbreak of Corona virus means the player returned to Nigeria and was unable to rejoin the team when they resumed.

" Crazy how things turned out to be due to the global pandemic all over the world, but I want to wish you guys all the best in the Future, " he wrote.

"To my fans wanting to know ,I signed a 6 months contract with aladalah club which was going fine before the Pandemic .

I couldn’t get a flight back to join the team 4 the restart of the league . Other option I had was to fly from Cotonou which I got a ticket and I was told no," he said.

Ogu was part of Nigeria's Super Eagles team to Russia 2018 World Cup and 2019 African Cup Of Nations in Egypt.
