Jordan Nwora, Precious Achiuwa, six other Nigerians get drafted by NBA

Jordan Nwora, son of former D’Tigers coach Alex Nwora, was among eight Nigerian basketballers that got drafted by America’s National Basketball Association (NBA). The 22-year-old, who has featured for the Nigerian national team, D’Tigers, for the 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifier between June 28-30th 2018, was picked by Milwaukee Bucks as the 45th overall. Other players picked include, Precious Achiuwa selected by the Miami Heat; Onyeka Okongwu selected by Atlanta Hawks; Daniel Oturu picked by New York Knicks; and Zeke Nnaji by Denver Nuggets. Also picked were, Udoka Azubuike selected 27 overall by Utah Jazz, and Desmond Bane picked by Memphis Grizzlies. The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) took out time to celebrate the players via its Twitter handle on Thursday morning.
