Junior Ajayi to work under new coach

Following the sacking of former manager Martin Lasarte, Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Junior Ajayi will work under new coach in the Egyptian football season.

BSN reports that despite winning the league Lasarte performance was considered not good enough after he crashed out of the Egyptian cup losing to Pyramid.

Red Devils announced today that Swiss manager Rene Weiler will take charge of the team in the upcoming period.

Weiler has coached his fair share of clubs in Europe mainly in Switzerland, Germany, and Belgium including Swiss sides FC Aarau and FC Luzern, as well as German club FC Nuremberg.

Weiler is no strange to Egyptian players, having coached current Aston Villa winger Mahmoud Trezeguet during their time together at Anderlecht.

His first scheduled fixture will be on September 13 when the Red Devils face Equatorial Guinea’s Cano Sport in the first leg of the CAF Champions League first round.
