The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, released the 30 man provisional World Cup list on Monday and three home based players were included in the list. This of course, is a welcome development which will encourage more home based players to increase on their performances, having it at the back of their minds that they can be invited and eventually play for the Super Eagles if they play well and excel in their respective position.
Home based Super Eagles captain and Enyimba goalkeeper, Okechukwu Ezenwa inclusion was not a surprise to many Nigerian football followers who watched his sterling performance in the world cup qualifying matches against Cameroon and Algeria as well CHAN competition in Morocco.
However, some football pundits were surprised to see Plateau United goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye and NPFL highest goal scorer, Junior Lokosa who edged out his foreign based counterparts like Kayode Olanrewaju, Sadiq Umar, and Brown Ideye to make the 30-man World Cup provisional list.

I have to convince the coach that i am worthy of playing at the highest level of the game. I know club football is different from Super Eagles game." Kano Pillars striker, Junior Lokosa told BSN Sports.

"I still can't believe i made the 30-man provisional World Cup list released by the NFF. I am at the cloud nine right now. I think my selection into the list is as a result of my performance at the CHAN competition when i came in to replace injured Ezenwa."

Though, he admitted it will not going to be easy but not impossible.
