Jupiler League: Dennis, Okereke's Brugge Confirm As Champion

After a long wait, the Belgium Football Federation has finally confirmed Club Brugge as the champion of Jupiler league for 2019/2020 season.

BSN Sports reports that the League body few weeks ago announced the end of the league season after corona virus delayed the restart.

The duo of Nigeria international Emmanuel Dennis and David Okereke played an active role in making Brugge placed a 15-points gap at top of the league table.

After a lengthy delay an official vote only took place on May 15 and clubs decided to name Club Brugge champions and settle the rest of the table by leaving it as it was.

Club Brugge will now be in the UEFA Champions League group stage next season, while Gent will be in the UCL third qualifying round and Charleroi will be in the Europa League group stage.
