According to report, the energetic Nigeria international joined the Limburger last summer after emerging top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie with Heracles. Since switching to Belgium, Dessers has been unable to tie down a regular shirt due to the presence of his compatriot Paul Onuachu. With Onuachu likely to leave the club, Genk is already eyeing Cercle Brugge striker, Ike Ugbo, as his replacement. According to Belgium news outlets Voetbalnews, club within and outside Belgium are already speaking to Genk for Dessers services.
