Jupiler League: Injury Ruled Out Onuachu Of AFCON 2021 Sampson Adedeji Barely three weeks to the commencement of the 2021 African Cup of Nations, Nigeria's Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu has been ruled out of the bi-annual competition. BAN Sports report that Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered another setback as one of its in-form strikers, Onuach joined Osimhen in the treatment room as AFCON 2021 approaches. The lanky striker was in action against Royal Antwerp and was injured shortly after he recorded a goal that ended hos goal drought. The team manager, Bernd Storck, confirmed after the game that Onuachu will be out of action for a month which automatically ruled him out of the biennial competition. “I expect Onuachu to be out for at least a month.” That would mean that the Nigerian will have to miss the Africa Cup. It will start on January 9. “I should have replaced him earlier but Paul wanted to continue, he thought there was still some left in the tank. Unfortunately, in one of his many sprints, he grabbed his left leg," he said. Onuachu joined Etebo on the sidelines while Napoli striker Victor Osimhen remained a big doubt for the tournament.
