The lanky striker was in action against Royal Antwerp and was injured shortly after he recorded a goal that ended hos goal drought. The team manager, Bernd Storck, confirmed after the game that Onuachu will be out of action for a month which automatically ruled him out of the biennial competition. “I expect Onuachu to be out for at least a month.” That would mean that the Nigerian will have to miss the Africa Cup. It will start on January 9. “I should have replaced him earlier but Paul wanted to continue, he thought there was still some left in the tank. Unfortunately, in one of his many sprints, he grabbed his left leg," he said. Onuachu joined Etebo on the sidelines while Napoli striker Victor Osimhen remained a big doubt for the tournament.
