Jupiler League: Onuachu Fires Genk To Victory In De Limburg Derby
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Nigeria goal poacher, Paul Onuachu again proved his scoring prowess as he came off the bench to fire KRC Genk pass St. Truiden, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian started the game on the bench but was called upon to replace Nigerian teammate, Ike Ugbo in the 60th minute with KRC Genk trailing by a lone goal.
Yuma Suzuki had earlier put St. Truiden 1 nil up in the third minute of first half additional time maintaining the lead going into the break.
Coach John van den Brom had rotated with his basic players as announced and had Paul Onuachu start on the bench, among others, but halfway through the second half, the Nigerian goalscoring machine was brought into position.
And just like last Thursday against Rapid Wien, he beautifully took care of the winning goal in the 80th after Joseph Painstill had levelled things for Genk in the 73rd minute.
Onuachu was also of gold value in the field game and even in the defensive work.
