Kaizer Chiefs Extends Akpeyi's Contract Till 2022

South Africa Premier League side, Kaizer Chiefs has rewarded Nigeria's Super Eagles goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi with a new two-year deal.
Th former Warri Wolves shot stopper moved to the Amakhosi from Chippa United on January 2019 following injury sustained by the team first choice Khune Itumeleng.
Despite having shaky start, Akpeyi has become an important player for the club with series of good performances.
His current deal is to expire by June 30, 2020 but the deemed it fit to offered him a 2 year extension.
" We are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi who joined Chiefs in January 2019 has earned himself a two-year contract extension to June 2022," the club stated.
Akpeyi has featured 18 times across all competitions for the Glamour Boys thus far, keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding 15 goals in the process.
