Kano Pillars Shocked With LMC Verdict - Chairman By Niyi Busari The management of Kano Pillars Football Club said they were supprised when they received the verdict from the League Management Company (LMC) on Monday. The LMC fined Kano Pillars N7.5 million for allowing spectators into the stadium and fans encroached the pitch during their match-day 27 encounter with Akwa United at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Sunday. The chairman of the club, Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya said the management were surprised after they received the verdict. He added that it was already in the media before the club was officially served. "We received the verdict that LMC is charging us for breaching the covid-19 Protocol by permitting the spectators into the match venue and encroachment during the match with fine of over seven million naira but we are studying the judgement for our final decision," the chairman said. He continued, "On the issue of failure to provide adequate security in the Stadium, we need clarification on whose responsibility it is between the club and football Association to provide security in the Stadium. He said since Sai Masuasu Gida adopted Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna as their adopted home ground this season, they have been providing all the logistics requested by Kaduna state football association. He insisted that Kano Pillars Fc didn't sell tickets and didn't invite anybody to be in the stadium.
