Fans Worry Over Plans To Impose Sacked Coach on Kano Pillars

Fans of former Nigeria league champions, Kano Pillars football club are worried over alleged plans by the State House of Assembly speaker, to impose sacked coach Ibrahim Musa on the team.
Feelers from the ancient city revealed that the move has started generating disaffection among the fans and the players of the club.
Coach Musa, who was relieved of his appointment at the close of the season has turned to political heavy weights in the State to stage a comeback.
Most of the fans are of the views that his imposed return may retard the quest of the club to achieve desirable result as the league resumes in few days time.
Mallam Bello Aliyu Kabuga speaking on the matter, said it will not only cause distraction but breed ground for mistrust between the players and the coach.
"How will the players have confidence to play for the club when a coach who accused his players of bribe taking after the aftermath lost to Rangers in the AITECO Cup finals played in Asaba last year, he told BSNSports.com.ng.
"This is a shocking thing which must not be allowed to happened, if you talk to most of our fans, you will know they don't want him back.
" Pillars is a brand and they must not bring in politics into the administration of the club. How many coaches have been sacked by the clubs in the past to give room for better performance, so the speaker must concentrate on his legislative matters and live those saddled to handle the affairs of the club do whatsoever to return the club to winning ways.
"Everyone who watched the Rangers match in Asaba knew we lost the game to the bench, we won't take any of such act to ridicule our quest for a better performance this year," Kabuga said.
Speaking in the same vein most of the players spoken to and who preferred not to be named, agreed that they will find it difficult to work with the coach who forced some of their best players out of the club following his accusations against them.
They appealed to the State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to wade into the matter to stop the looming crisis which may follow.
