He called on all professional footballers, former and current to rally round the Association as they move toward re-positioning the body. “I am happy to see the new move in the Association; it shows that we have finally woken up. And with the caliber of personnel’s that have come out to contest also shows that our Association is now on the rise. With names like Babaginda, Mutiu, Pascal, and the other names that I saw vying for positions, I am very confident they have all have what it takes to place the Association in the right direction. “But, we all have to support them to be able to achieve the set goal, because without our supports and if we continue to fight among ourselves we would not be able to form a strong alliance to face and confront our challenges,” Kanu said. It has been one fight to the other, but I thank God for the way we have been able to rise above our challenges and have decided to move ahead. I pray it remains like that with no other person coming up with another issue to disintegrate us,” he concluded.
