Karate Federation Distances Itself From Communique Released By Dissolved Federations

Days after reports of the 31 sport federations issuing a 48-hours ultimatum to the Nigeria Ministry of Sport to rescind it decision of dissolving the federations, Karate federation has distanced itself from the action, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The federation in a press release made available to journalists, declares it is not part of the communique issued by the federations and is in full support of the sports minister.
The release which was signed by the secretary to the federation Maikano, Alhaji Adamu says the chairman of the caretaker committee of the federation condemns the action.
"The Karate Federation of Nigeria had distanced itself from the Communique reportedly issued by a group claiming to represent the 30 Sports Federation in Nigeria.
The Chairman, Caretaker Committee, His Excellency Silas. A. Agara had condemned the move and that the Karate Federation of Nigeria is not part of any Communique what so ever."
Adamu says the chairman is behind the sport minister and he urges Nigerians to give their backing to the ministry.
He further called all well-meaning Nigerians to support the present administration under the Leadership of the Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare to create the enabling environment for sustainable Sports Development in Nigeria.
He therefore calls on patriotic Nigerians, Philanthropists and Sports loving Stakeholders to avail themselves in the next election for the new Boards later in the year in line with the Government Code of Governance."
