Super Eagles of Nigeria star Olanrewaju Kayode was outstanding for Sivasspor football club on Wednesday evening, as they defeated Fatih Karagumruk football club 1-0 in the quarter final of the Turkish League Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The former Shakhtah Donetsk football club star was given another starting role by coach Ray Calimbay, and he was able to impress in the game.
The Nigerian international started in his team's attack alongside Mustafa Yatabare and Max Gradel and the trio were exceptional in the game.
Both teams tried so hard to break the deadlock in the first half of the game, but all their efforts were not successful, as the first half ended goalless.
Mali national team star Mustafa Yatabare opened scoring for the home team in the 69th minutes through a fine teamwork from Olanrewaju Kayode and Kerem Kesgin to end the match 1-0.
Olanrewaju Kayode was superb for the home team in the game, and he was able to play a vital role in the team's hard-fought victory.
The 1-0 victory over Fatih Karagumruk football club has now taken Sivasspor FC to the semi-final of this season's Turkish Super Lig.
