Keeping Clean Sheet Is In Our DNA - Remo Stars Captain
By Omolagba Oluwayemi
Following another massive show at the heart of Remo Stars defense that saw the newly promoted team kept consecutive clean sheets in the 2021/22 NPFL season, captain of Remo Stars, Nduka Junior, said it is what his side are used to doing even when they were playing in the Nigerian National League (NNL).
"I'll like to go back to the NNL, this is our home ground, we are the only team who played unbeaten in our home ground and a clean sheet all through the season in the NNL. We like our sheets clean, this is what we love to do at all cost irrespective of who the opponents are and what they are bringing.
Nduka who led the team to promotion to NPFL speaking exclusively to BSNSports.com.ng assured Remo Stars fans of the team retaining their status in the NPFL while also not ruling out a continental dream.
"For now we just want to retain our slot in the NPFL and if God give us a continental ticket, so be it."
Remo Stars will welcome Nasarawa United to Ikenne on Wednesday for the match day 3 of the 2021/22 NPFL season.
